    Butchery Supervisor

    Hours of Work: 46 hours per week £12 an hour
    Days of Work: Sunday - Wednesday 08:30 -20:30
    Term: Permanent

    Supervising a small but growing team, in our newly built meat cutting facility, you will have butchery experience, possess good knife skills and be able to demonstrate core butchery techniques including: boning, jointing and portion control. Assisting the Butchery Manager in managing department inventory, personnel, pricing integrity, merchandising, managing staff rotas, and other operational processes to comply with company quality and standards. Must have the experience to be able to manage the butchery department when the Butchery Manager is absent. Focus on delivering great service.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Butchery of all common types of meat (beef, lamb, pork, chicken) in carcass and part processed form into products for wholesale.
    • Producing processed products (mince, burgers, sausages) using butchery machinery
    • Adhering to strict hygiene procedures to ensure the facility is maintained to the highest standards.
    • Managing butchery tasks including, receiving stock into the facility and boxing & labelling customer orders
    • Using the office IT system for processing customer orders and producing product labels

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Good attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
    • Will need to be physically fit as it is a demanding role.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills and computer admin skills.
    • Strong work ethic, personal qualities and a positive, courteous, and calm approach to your work.
    • Be able to demonstrate care and attention to detail in their work and must be flexible in their approach to the role and hours of work.
