HGV 2 Driver

Pilgrim Foodservice Ltd is looking for experienced, professional HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our Transport Department! If you enjoy being out and about, meeting customers and having a job where no two days are the same then look no further! Being a HGV Driver for Pilgrim Foodservice, means providing the highest standard of customer service whilst delivering products which may include 25kg bags of potatoes and bottles of oil. It is hard-work and there can be long days, but we can guarantee you will get great job satisfaction at the end of every day. We expect all our Drivers to drive with utmost care, with due diligence and embrace opportunities for personal development to enhance their driving skills. Not only will the successful candidate be joining a fast-paced, passionate team, they will be joining a forward-thinking company who is looking for someone who will live by the Company Values of Trust, Respect, Integrity and Innovation.

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering products across a ‘multi drop’ environment typically 15 – 30 drops per route
• Communicating with customers in a professional and polite manner
• Handling customer orders with extreme care
• Ensuring cleanliness of your vehicle is at a high standard at all times
• Complying with Road Traffic, all Transport Legislations and Working Time Regulations

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong commercial driving experience with a category ‘C’ license along with a Digi Tacho Card
• Passion for delivering excellent customer service
• Proven experience of working within a ‘multi – drop’ environment
• A strong work ethic with attention to detail and great enthusiasm
• The role is demanding, and you will need to be physically fit and willing to work around a flexible day to meet the needs of our customers
• Due to insurance policy restrictions, we can only accept applicants who are aged 25 or over
