Warehouse Days Yardperson

As a Warehouse Yardperson, you will be part of a great team who work in a fast-paced environment. You have sound knowledge of basic Health and Safety; hold a counterbalance licence and you are a team player with strong personal qualities. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean working environment, goods in and unloading of vehicles in a timely and safe manor, carry out general housekeeping duties in and around the warehouse and yard. Responsible for recycling and the management of waste, and pallets. Cleaning Cages to ensure all goods are transported in a clean environment.

Responsibilities will include:

• Housekeeping of warehouse and yard
• Clean cages, following procedures and hygiene standards
• Dispose of waste materials
• Responsible for recyclable waste materials for processing, including cardboard, and other waste products
• Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles, including trucks and vans, using appropriate equipment and safety procedures
• Bailing waste material including cardboard and plastics
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in designated work areas
• Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines at all times, wearing appropriate PPE and following proper handling procedures
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritise tasks and ensure efficient workflow
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager, contributing to the overall success and effectiveness of the business
• Report any food safety, quality or legality issues to the Warehouse Team Leaders

The successful candidate will have:

• Knowledge of safe use of all MHE
• Ability to work within H&S guidelines
• Knowledge of working within Food Safety guidelines
• Precision and Accuracy
• Good attention to detail
• Good use of initiative
