Warehouse Nightshift Operative

If you like to keep count of your steps, then we’ve got a job role for you! We’re looking for an enthusiastic person who will be part of our hard-working Warehouse Nights team, not only will your role be an integral part of the Operations team here at Pilgrim Foodservice, but you will be part of an important function that helps the business provide our first-class customer service. We provide a clean and safe environment, which is continuously the responsibility of all team members that work here. We have a voice warehouse management system which will provide instructions in English, the system assists the team to pick our products accurately and safely. You will be required to pick orders and load them onto our infamous lorries, making sure to take care and guarantee our products reach our customers in fantastic condition. As we provide a large range of products you will be required to work in different temperatures which includes working in a freezer and chilled environment -don’t worry we’ll make sure you have the appropriate PPE to keep you roasty toasty! As mentioned above with this role you will be clocking in the miles when you work here and may include lifting heavy items such as bags of potatoes or drums of cooking oil, full training will be provided to ensure you and others around you are safe at all times. Responsibilities will include:

• Loading vehicles
• House keeping
• Picking customer orders
• Managing customer returns
• May need to cover off goods in, replenishment and put away where needed

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in safe use of all MHE
• Knowledge of working within H&S guidelines
• Precision and accuracy, good attention to detail
• Good use of initiative
• Calm and positive approach to work
