Nurtured in Norfolk Edible Flowers are delicate, colourful edible flowers with a mild, lettuce-like flavour, crisp texture and subtly minty, wintergreen notes. Their vibrant appearance makes them a beautiful finishing touch for both sweet and savoury dishes, adding colour and delicate flavour to every plate.
Nurtured in Norfolk was founded in 2009 by former chefs Allan and Sue, who began growing micro cress after searching for more consistent flavourful garnishes for their own dishes. Their experience in professional kitchens helped shape the business, which has since grown to offer over 280 varieties of micro herbs, edible flowers, leaves, pea shoots, bunched herbs and sea vegetables. Their focus remains on producing high-quality, consistent speciality ingredients that chefs would be proud to use themselves.
Pansies are perfect for garnishing cakes, desserts, salads, cocktails and hot drinks, while individual petals can be sprinkled over dishes or frozen into ice cubes for an eye-catching finish. They pair well with herbs such as thyme, lavender and basil and offer a simple way to add colour, texture and visual appeal to a wide range of menus.
